CeCe HastreIter

CeCe Hastreiter is a classically trained lyric soprano and is known for her bright and clear tone and her ability to tell a story. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance at Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2019. While at NWU, she performed multiple roles, including: Die Fledermaus (Adele), Prima Donna (Fiammetta), Gallantry (Lola), and La Rondine (Lolette). In addition, she has performed scenes from The Impresario (Silverspeal), Le nozze di Figaro (Susanna), Il Signor Bruschino (Sofia), Lakemé (Ellen), and Dialogue of the Carmelites (nun). Outside of her undergraduate education, Hastreiter participated in La Musica Lirica in Novafeltria, Italy where she played Despina in Così fan tutte. Hastreiter received her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance at Roosevelt University in May of 2021.  In her time at Roosevelt, she performed in the chorus for Offenbach’s Olampia and Purcell’s King Arthur. She also performed as a soloist in Hilary Tann’s Arachne. 

Hastreiter has performed with Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago, Rosemont Theatre, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and sang in Cathedrals throughout Spain with the NWU University Choir. Outside of performance, CeCe has greatly enjoyed directing and teaching voice. During the summer of 2021, Hastreiter directed 11 productions, which included Junior Annie and Junior Cinderella. Upcoming, CeCe will be premiering a role in Daron Hagen’s new opera, 9/10, with anticipated film festival release in 2023.
